Pellet Burner in 1.8 MW with MultiBio pellet burner

In Volvo Penta factory we launched the rotary burner Multibio 600 kW coupled with a boiler of 600 kW Swedish manufacturer. The boiler room has a total power of 1.8 MW consisting of three by separate boilers 600 kW. As a backup is used Viessmann oil boiler with an output of 1MW.
Boiler room is equipped with two blue burners of a Swedish company Janfire. A third boiler that was equipped by the MultiBio Burner for the required increase in performance for a new production hall.
Customer request for the supply of heating water was to keep stable temperature of 80 degrees with a tolerated differential within two degrees.
The burner therefore has its PLC control programmed power regulation PID. It means variable power according to the requirements on the burner control unit.
Customer uses industrial wood pellets - a lower quality B. You can see field tests to verify the emissions in photos at this page. PLC MultiBio control unit allows remote access via the Internet LAN and GSM modem.
The customer liked the emission parameters, start the burner within four minutes, ramp up to full capacity within the next few minutes. Fuel efficiency was 99%. Flue gas temperature ranged from about 95 to 105 degrees. CO values in PPM, at minimum output of about 180 kW, were consistently below 10 and in the performance of 550 kW around the 30 ppm with Oxygen from 3,7 to 4,6%.
Interesting is also the realization of fully automated fuel distribution for the individual burners as well as the implementation of common ash removal to all three boilers.
